How did I get here?
I've been active from an early age. My childhood & teenage years were a flurry of physical pursuits; running, cricket, cycling, swimming, and of course, football.
It was football that, in 2014, carried me across to the George Washington University in the United States. I joined the men's 'soccer' (I got used to it being called that after a while) team, & completed a degree in finance & psychology.
As I packed my bags the night before l jetted off, I had no idea of the transformation I was about to experience over the next 4 years..
Because it was during these years that I was introduced to strength training.
I went from an unconfident & infrequent gym-goer, to an assured & capable athlete. My physique changed, I felt strong, & I started to feel more confident in every aspect of my life.
I learnt how to move with strong technique, how to take care of my nutrition, & how to adjust my lifestyle for optimal performance.
I graduated in 2018, & decided to return to England. I was at a stage of my life where I didn't really know what to do next, so I seeked the comfort & stability of a familiar home environment.
I worked in telecommunication sales, but got let go due to a lack of passion (surprisingly enough), spent 5 months at a pub, & then dipped my toes in digital marketing for 6 months.
These early career experiences taught me a couple of things:
1) I don't like spending hours hunched over a computer screen.
2) Having a sense of purpose is essential.
At the tail-end of 2019 I made the decision to become a personal trainer.
It's safe to say I haven't looked back since!
My purpose as a personal trainer - & in life - is simple:
To assist others on the journey of self-growth.
I believe that the best way to be of service is to commit to working towards your highest potential.
The only way you can serve others is if you, yourself, are fit to serve.
Being healthy is what gives you the ability to help those around you.
For that reason, I help men & women improve their health so that they can be strong, confident, & sharp minded - allowing them to lead fulfilled lives & positively impacting the lives of those around them.
