Each day I work with people of various ages, physical abilities, & training experience. The key thing about personal training is that it's exactly that - personal. This means that regardless of where you're at, I'll tailor your sessions & our approach accordingly!
Here's 3 of the main ways in which I can help you:
Here's 3 of the main ways in which I can help you:
Strength Building
|
Resistance training is the best way to build a strong & resilient body.
During our sessions you'll be coached to safely perform exercises while also learning some of the science of resistance training. You'll also be given a personalised training program to follow independently outside of our personal training sessions, should you want to. This means you'll be able to go to the gym (or train at home) with a clear program to follow - no more making up your workout on-the-fly & leaving the gym feeling like you've wasted your time. |
Weight Loss
|
My client Gareth (above) managed to lose 10kg over the course of 4 months of working together - an unbelievable effort!
|
Why Lose Weight? I've worked with a number of men & women who have a history of difficulty creating (and maintaining) weight loss. Together we've found strategies to help improve their relationship with food & achieve significant weight loss. Losing weight has allowed many of my clients to move through their daily lives with greater ease, experience greater all-round health, & perform better both in & out of the gym. Together these things have led to greater energy, confidence, & happiness. How Do We Make it Happen? Strength training plays a big role in weight loss, but your activity levels & nutrition are just as significant. I'll help you tweak the important factors & guide you down a path to creating the changes you're after. This typically involves dietary changes along with an increase in your daily activity levels. To help you remain consistent with your efforts, we'll track your progress along the way allowing you to see the fruits of your labour. |
Movement Quality
|
Struggling with nagging pain?
Fed up of feeling stiff & inflexible? Want to improve your quality of movement? I've helped numerous clients improve their movement quality, overcome pain, & continue doing the activities they love. Movement - whether it be strength training or dedicated mobility work - is one of the most beneficial things you can be doing to improve joint range of motion & reduce pain. Here’s 3 ways that it contributes towards a healthier, stronger, pain-free body: ✓ Synovial Fluid Circulation Synovial fluid surrounds joints, allowing for bones to articulate more smoothly. Movement helps circulate this synovial fluid, allowing for more frictionless movement. ✓ Provides Nutrition Exercise encourages blood flow circulation, in turn exposing the joints to a healthy supply of nutrients needed to keep them healthy & well-functioning. ✓ Builds Muscle Strength training builds the capacity of your muscles, ligaments, & tendons, all of which surround & support your joints. This in turn reduces the burden placed on the joint itself. With the right mobility & strengthening exercises I'll help you move closer towards pain-free activity and build a body that can endure the demands of daily life! |
